The consequent development of the CORE-DHM with the aim of fine grinding of laminates spawned the CORE SYSTEM. Wafer-thin metal layers can be separated in circuit boards from the glass fiber composite plastics. With the separation of fiber from metal valuable precious metal material is produced. PM recovery provides significant contributions to the economics of investing in a CORE system and offers rapid ROI.
Extrusions | Composites
The combination of CORE and CORE RKZ & DHM allows processing of aluminum-plastic laminates to high-purity granules which allow direct recycling bypassing the melt. Aluminium profiles, aluminum extrusions, lithographic plates, dibond, aluminum cans, aluminum coolers or aluminum radiators etc. both as production waste, as well as collected scrap, can be processed in a CORE system to acheive a signifigant upgrade to the material.
Aluminum w/ Red Metals
The purity of metal fractions is crucial to their market value. The presence of a significant share of a second metal or contaminate in the salable fraction is often the reason for downgrades.
CORE Systems with CORE LTH enable the separation of aluminum from red metals (e.g. copper, brass, zinc etc.) and increase added value significantly.

Field Proven Technology to delaminate & separate compound materials
Rotor Chain Crusher
UMS’ CORE RCC is an internationally proven universal device for the first stage of the recycling process e.g. for electric and electronic waste (E-waste), blended metals, aluminum compounds etc. Objects with a unit weight of up to 65 lb and feed sizes of 24 inches can be processed.
CORE RCC is characterized by the following advantages:

- uses flexible beaters as operating tools, which dismantle input materials but do not destroy the components

Down to Size Shredder
UMS’ CORE DTS Down to size Shredder for homogenisation of size. DTS prepares the input materials for the further processing and delamination in the DHM. CORE DTS is an indispensable part of any recycling installation for compound materials. The shredder may be used to process fractions directly post the RCC Rotor Chain Crusher. Incorporating the know-how and experience in ore processing, the CORE DTS in its heavy-duty configuration is unsurpassed in energy efficiency, low tool and wear costs as well as service life. Double Rotor Hammer Mill
UMS’ CORE DHM Double Rotor Hammer Mill for delamination of complex compounds. DHM prepares and forms the input compound for the final separation of the metals. CORE DHM is an indispensable part of any recycling installation for compound materials. The mill may be used to process fractions sized 80 mm or less. Incorporating the know-how and experience in ore processing, the CORE DHM in its heavy-duty configuration is unsurpassed in energy efficiency, low tool and wear costs as well as service life. Separation by Size
UMS’ Screening Machine is used for separating materials by size. Screening is an important step before separating materials of different densities. With this device, diverse materials like copper and aluminum or plastics and aluminum are being grouped in sizes resulting in a high purity concentrate of each individual component. CORE AIR JIG
UMS’ CORE LTH "Air Jig" is used for separating materials of different specific density.
CORE LTH is the universal unit for separating materials of different weight according to grain size and shape. With this device, diverse materials like copper and aluminum or plastics and aluminum are being separated resulting in a high purity concentrate of each individual component.

Separation by Conductivity
Due to its active principle, the HAMOS KWS is used for the dry separation of metals from plastics and other non-conductive materials. Even the finest metal particles <0.1 mm can be separated. This makes it possible, in a particularly economical manner, to recover valuable metals, to separate them, or to clean plastics before the further processing of metal parts.
